The design SK 6100 DM LFC is delivered from Skipskompetanse AS. The vessel is optimized for transporting smolts of salmon and trout, and salmon and trout from fish farms to the processors. Like the rest of the Rostein fleet, it’s equipped for zero-emission during closed transport with monitoring and purification of the water. There are also SCR systems from Emigreen BV to reduce NOX emissions and it has TIER III machinery. This is also the first live fish carrier arranged with wave foil in the bow to prevent acceleration, improve fish welfare, and reduce fuel oil consumption.
